METALS (RAW)

Product Overview

Raw Metals are high-quality metallic materials used as primary or secondary inputs in aluminium melting and foundry operations. They are used to prepare aluminium alloys, adjust chemical composition and achieve the required metallurgical properties for different casting applications.

Common Raw Metals

  • Aluminium Ingots – Primary material for aluminium melting and alloy production.
  • Copper – Used to increase strength, hardness and wear resistance.
  • Silicon – Improves castability, fluidity and wear resistance.
  • Magnesium – Used to improve strength and corrosion resistance.
  • Manganese – Helps improve strength and resistance to corrosion.
  • Zinc – Used in specific aluminium alloy compositions to enhance strength.
  • Iron – Added in controlled quantities according to alloy requirements.
  • Titanium – Used for grain refinement and microstructure control.
  • Chromium – Helps control microstructure and improve certain alloy properties.
  • Nickel – Used where improved high-temperature strength is required

Instructions for use :

Raw metals are selected according to the required alloy specification and added to the molten aluminium in calculated quantities. The materials should be clean, dry and free from excessive contamination before charging.
