IRON REMOVER

IRON REMOVER

Product Overview

IRON REMOVER is a specialized metallurgical treatment used in foundry operations to help reduce unwanted iron contamination in molten non-ferrous alloys. It supports melt correction, improved cleanliness and better control of alloy composition.

Purpose

Iron contamination can enter a non-ferrous melt through scrap, returns, tools, equipment or previous processing. Excess iron may affect the alloy’s properties, fluidity and casting performance. IRON REMOVER is used to help control this unwanted iron content.

Instructions for use :

  • heck the iron content of the molten alloy before treatment.
  • Bring the melt to the recommended treatment temperature.
  • Add the required quantity of IRON REMOVER according to the product specification.
  • Allow sufficient reaction time for the treatment to act.
  • Mix or circulate the melt as appropriate for the furnace process.
  • Allow the reaction products to separate.
  • Remove the resulting dross carefully.
  • Recheck the alloy composition before final pouring
